Jago Town is an indoor playground and full service cafe at Te Awa, at The Base.
We offer fun filled experiences for children and their families to relax and celebrate.

We are open 7 days a week.

This is a unique concept, state of the art playground, suitable for children up to 10 years. We host an onsite café, with party and function rooms available.

Jago Town provide a venue for the whole family to enjoy together.

 

Entry Disclaimer

Jago Town playground takes pride in providing a safe and enjoyable experience for all visitors and participants. However, it is important that all guests understand and agree to the following terms and conditions:

• All visitors and participants must agree to Jago Town playground rules.
• These rules must be always adhered to.
• While we take great care to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all visitors and participants, injuries may occur while using our play equipment and other facilities.
• All visitors and participants enter Jago Town playground at their own risk.

By entering Jago Town playground, you acknowledge and agree to these terms and conditions. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and fun environment for everyone.

General Playground Instructions

Jago Town welcomes all visitors to its premises, with the aim of providing a safe and enjoyable experience for children and their accompanying friends and families. Please read these conditions of entry carefully, as they are intended to ensure compliance with Jago Town’s rules and regulations.

Upon admission to the premises, each child will be given a wristband or stamp, and parents or guardians will be given corresponding tickets. All individuals entering the premises must comply with any instructions or directions given to them by Jago Town staff, including with respect to dress standards.

Important Health and Safety Protocols

Please do not visit Jago Town if you, your child, or any accompanying person has experienced high temperatures, vomiting, or diarrhea in the last 72 hours. Jago Town reserves the right to refuse admission at any time due to health and safety concerns. Visitors are also required to comply with the protocols of the New Zealand Ministry of Health for COVID-19. Jago Town provides hand sanitizers in key locations and advises customers to wash their hands frequently.

Any child found left on the premises without a supervising guardian will be handed over to the appropriate authorities without exception. Jago Town may close the use of the playground at any time and for any reason, including but not limited to health and safety concerns or any other conditions deemed applicable by management.

General Playground Protocols

• Once purchased, tickets cannot be refunded, exchanged, or cancelled.
• The playground and café areas are designed for children up to approximately 12 years old, with equipment and facilities tailored to their needs.
• Outside food and drink are not allowed on the premises of Jago Town, except for birthday cakes used during booked birthday parties. Plastic baby bottles and baby food are exempt from this rule.
• Smoking and vaping are prohibited in Jago Town, and alcohol consumption is strictly always prohibited.
• For safety reasons, glass is not allowed in any part of the premises or surrounding areas.
• Jago Town does not assume any responsibility for lost or stolen items, so please take appropriate precautions to safeguard your valuables.
• Children must be under the active supervision of a parent or guardian who is always at least 18 years old.
• Jago Town is not responsible for unsupervised children and is not a drop-off center for such children.
• Although staff members are trained in playground supervision, they can only provide general supervision. Parents or guardians must actively always supervise their children.
• Visitors must report any injury, loss, or damage as soon as possible to Jago Town staff.
• Jago Town staff always enforce the above rules. Please follow the instructions provided and any signage within the premises.
• Jago Town reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time without notice.

Party/Function Bookings Conditions

• Party booking is limited to one hour. Private function bookings have a three-hour limit.
• All children entering the playground areas must wear Jago GRIP Socks. These socks may be purchased at the time of booking or upon arrival at Jago Town.
• A minimum of eight children is required for a party booking.
• A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance is to be paid on the day of the event during check-in. We only accept complete and final payment from a single transaction, and do not accept individual payments from party guests.
• To ensure that we order the appropriate quantities of food, we require finalization of the number of attendees at least 72 hours prior to the event. Changes in numbers (up or down, but not below eight) will be reflected in the balance payment during check-in. If changes are made on the day of the event, we cannot guarantee that we can accommodate them.
• Jago Town provides excellent café facilities, and as such, outside food and drinks are not permitted on the premises. The exception to this rule is a birthday cake for a booked party.
• If you have any special dietary requirements, please inform us in advance. While we will make every effort to accommodate your needs, we cannot guarantee that we can do so in every instance.
• A café TAB may be set up for your event, and credit card information may be held as security. Full payment may be made at the end of your party/function.

Party/Function Reschedule, Refund, and Cancellation Policy

• Once a booking has been made, Jago Town cannot provide refunds due to a change of mind.
• Your booking is only valid for the selected date and time. If you are unable to attend, you may reschedule the date and time of your booking (subject to availability) free of charge, if you give us at least 48 hours’ notice. After this time, rescheduling will not be possible.
• Changes to bookings are subject to availability.
• Changes to your booking are only confirmed once you have received a confirmation email stating the new date and time.
• No refunds will be provided for unattended play sessions.
• If your original booking included a promotional offer and you are changing your booking before or after the valid promotion period, you will be required to pay the outstanding balance.
• Amendments can only be made by the individual who made the initial booking.
• If you paid a 50% deposit and wish to cancel the booking, no refund can be given.
• If you paid in full and wish to cancel the booking, 50% of the full payment can be refunded.

Membership Terms and Conditions

These Membership Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) set out the agreement between Jago Town (“we”, “us” or “our”) and you (“you” or “your”) in relation to your membership with Jago Town. By signing up for membership, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Membership Period: Your membership period is for a minimum of 6 months.

Membership Changes: We may, from time to time, add to, change, or remove clauses in these Terms. This includes changing services, facilities, opening hours, and membership fees. We reserve the right to temporarily or permanently close or limit our facilities to allow for maintenance or refurbishment, and we do not reduce your membership fees while this occurs. The most up-to-date Terms always apply, and you can find a copy on our website at www.jagotown.co.nz.

Notification of Changes: We will provide you with at least 28 days’ notice of any changes to these Terms. Notice may be provided by publishing the changes on our website or social media platforms, in our newsletter, by placing a notice in the playground, or by emailing or phoning you to the last email address or phone number we have on file.

Cancellation & Suspension: Jago Town does not offer membership cancellations or suspensions during the membership period. In the event that you are unable to continue your membership due to illness or incapacity, you must provide us with a certificate from a qualified medical practitioner indicating that you are unable to participate in physical activities for the remainder of the membership period.

Termination: We may terminate your membership if you breach these Terms or behave in an unacceptable manner at any time whilst using our facilities.

Liability: We are not liable for any injury, loss or damage suffered by you whilst using our facilities, except to the extent that such liability cannot be excluded by law. We recommend that you obtain your own insurance to cover any injury, loss or damage.

Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us, and supersede all prior representations, understandings or agreements, whether verbal or written. Any waiver of any provision of these Terms must be in writing and signed by us.

Other Terms and COnditions and Limitation of Liability

Jago Town has established specific rules and conditions that must be followed by any individual who enters the premises or utilizes its equipment and facilities. By entering the premises, you agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions and assume full responsibility for any risks associated with participating in activities while on the premises.

By utilizing Jago Town’s services or facilities, you and anyone associated with you release Jago Town and any individual associated with it from liability for any personal injury, property damage, financial loss, or other losses resulting from your activities on the premises. You also waive any claims or rights of action against Jago Town and any individual associated with it.

While Jago Town staff will monitor the equipment and provide first aid assistance if needed, they are not responsible for supervising children or ensuring the safety of any person utilizing the equipment or premises. It is the responsibility of each individual to exercise due care for their safety and the safety of any accompanying children.

If you breach any of the Terms and Conditions, Jago Town reserves the right to remove you from the premises, forfeit any money paid, and hold you liable for any fees owed. If you have any questions about these Terms and Conditions, please ask a staff member. If you do not agree to comply with them, please refrain from entering the premises.

In the event that any part of these Terms and Conditions is found to be illegal or unenforceable, that particular part will be removed, but the remaining conditions will remain valid and enforceable.

It’s our promise to you, to take the utmost care in providing a safe, secure and friendly environment to play and participate in. Please note responsibility for all participating children remain with a parent, caregiver, or guardian at all times.
